How we approach every oodle coat — fleece, wool and straight, each with its own grooming rhythm. Coat type 01 fleece coat oodles: soft, wavy, silky. The most common oodle coat. Tangles easily at friction points but lower shedding. Groom every 5 to 6 weeks. Coat type 02 wool coat oodles: tight, curly, dense. Very low shedding but mats fast and close to the skin without daily care. Groom every 4 to 5 weeks. Coat type 03 straight coat oodles: flat, smooth, sheds more but mats less. What happens when oodles miss grooms

When an oodle goes too long between grooms, the coat begins to mat. Loose undercoat gets trapped in the curl and knots form — first at friction points, then across the whole coat. Once mats are tight enough to pull on the skin, the only humane option is a short clip.

Regular grooming every 4–8 weeks (depending on coat type) prevents this entirely. A short clip is always a last resort, not a starting point.

Simple upgrades for oodle comfort

Every add-on below can be selected when booking. Each one is chosen with oodle coats, skin and temperament in mind.

Advocate Treatment

Spot-on flea, mite, lice, heartworm and intestinal worm treatment. Especially useful for oodles who spend time at dog parks or daycare.

Anal Glands

Relieves pressure when glands are full. Oodles can be prone to gland issues. Helps stop scooting and discomfort after the appointment.

De-Matting

Careful mat removal for oodle coats. We work through knots methodically to avoid pulling on the skin. Charged per 10 minutes of work required.

Ear Plucking

Oodles grow hair inside the ear canal which traps moisture and causes buildup. Regular plucking reduces the risk of ear infections significantly.

End of Groom Massage

A calm, relaxing finish with music. Great for anxious or sensitive oodles who need to decompress after their groom before pickup.

Long Coat Management

Extra brushing and detangling for oodle coats over 2cm. Helps prevent matting and keeps the coat healthy and manageable between appointments.

Malaseb Medicated Bath

Medicated wash for oodles with itchy, irritated or reactive skin. Supports a healthier skin barrier and reduces post-groom scratching.

Nail Grinding

Smooths and shortens nails after clipping. A better option for oodles who are sensitive to the pressure of standard nail clippers.

PlayCare — 4 Hours

Supervised play for 4 hours after the groom is done. Perfect for social oodles who want to make a full day of it rather than heading straight home.

PlayCare — All Day

Full day of structured play and supervision after grooming. Ideal for high-energy Groodles and active Cavoodles who love a big social day.

Poodle Feet

Clean trim around the paw pads. Reduces trapped dirt, moisture and grass seeds, especially important for oodles who love outdoor adventures.

Sensitive Skin Shampoo

Gentle Aloveen formula for oodles with sensitive or dry skin. Reduces post-groom itching and irritation without stripping the coat's natural oils.

Style Groom

    Best dog groomer’s ever! Was a little anxious in taking my 11 year old Labrador to Dog Love Grooming for the first time yesterday. My baby boy isn’t as active anymore and I wasn’t sure if he would cope with a full 2 hour groom and de-shedding. Hannah was so caring and patient, she phoned to let us know it will take a little longer as my boy needed a break and fell asleep. He felt comfortable enough to have a little nap 😂 he’s never looked and smelled so clean. Worth every cent and more!

    I took my XL American Bully (Marishka) & my Maltese cross (Bianca) to Dog Love Grooming. They did an outstanding job. Bianca was fluffy, beautiful and happy. They took time out to make sure she was comfortable having been a rescue dog from an abuse home. And as for Marishka, she is so soft and cuddly. She has skin conditions so they paid special attention to her sensitive areas with her medicated shampoo. When I came to pick Marishka up, I don't really think she wanted to leave. Hannah and Naja are fantastic people who genuinely care for the pups like they’re family. ❤️ They take so much care in everything they do, including making sure the people they employ are the right fit and share the same love and values. His only complaint is when they take a second too long to answer the door because he’s so eager to get inside! 😂🐶 It gives us such peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring, loving and capable hands.     Very unprofessional. Not the way I would expect a service to be treating clients. Tried to get in contact by following the voicemail message. I sent a txt as instructed which was read, 5 days past and i followed up again, the message was read but no reply. My husband then tried to call and was told again to send a txt as we would have a response. Still no response. Was happy if they did not want to take on any new dogs, but simply to read the messages and not respond or communicate is just rude and unprofessional. I am extremely disappointment as we had read such great things.

Our Samoyed x Border Collie had some serious matting (he is part seal and spent the winter either lying in the rain or swimming in smelly creeks....loves water)....he was a bit of a stinky mess. As Willow the Labrador has become older she hasn’t shed her undercoat properly and her hair became thick and trapped dirt and was smelling. I am so glad I took her to Dog Love for the deshedding service, the difference is incredible. Her coat has substantially thinned out and is soft and healthy. Willow looks so much more comfortable.     We absolutely love Dog Love Grooming! Hannah and Naja are fantastic people who genuinely care for the pups like they’re family. ❤️ They take so much care in everything they do, including making sure the people they employ are the right fit and share the same love and values. Our mini groodle absolutely hates bath time and grooming at home, but he LOVES his pamper sessions with them! His only complaint is when they take a second too long to answer the door because he’s so eager to get inside! 😂🐶 It gives us such peace of mind knowing he’s in such caring, loving and capable hands. We couldn’t recommend Dog Love Grooming highly enough!.

    Very unprofessional. Not the way I would expect a service to be treating clients. Tried to get in contact by following the voicemail message. I sent a txt as instructed which was read, 5 days past and i followed up again, the message was read but no reply. My husband then tried to call and was told again to send a txt as we would have a response. Still no response. Was happy if they did not want to take on any new dogs, but simply to read the messages and not respond or communicate is just rude and unprofessional. I am extremely disappointment as we had read such great things.

    I would fully recommend! My puppa has come home full of energy, and in the best mood! They are so kind and welcoming, and also let her sit with the puppies as she had been showing signs of anxiety, I thought this was so sweet! Nonetheless, my girl smells amazing, and her fur is in perfect shape (her dad may even let her on the bed🤣). Marley-Jane & I are very grateful for their service and the way we were treated 🫶🏼

    Molly had her first groom today at Dog Love and I couldnt recommend them more highly. Hannah was so lovely and personable. We have had a long term groomer that had to sadly shut down so to find someone that not only cuts the hair to the style of dog but also that Molly was excited to enter was amazing. The coat, the nails, the teeth… all look fantastic! Super happy and we have now locked in our 6 weekly regular appointment!

    Dog love is a second home to our fur baby. Every time I ask my pup if he wants to go see Hanna and Naja he is waiting at the door ready to go. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he is safe and having the absolute best time and getting photo / video updates throughout the day is always a perk. Would not trust anyone else and cannot recommend this beautiful family enough for the community they’ve created.

    I couldn't recommend Dog Love Groomers more. Our Samoyed x Border Collie had some serious matting (he is part seal and spent the winter either lying in the rain or swimming in smelly creeks....loves water)....he was a bit of a stinky mess. He came back to us gloriously washed, no mats and groomed to perfection. Very impressed. Thank you Dog Love, for your hard work and skills. Roger looks fabulous!

    Thank you so much for taking care of Willow. You showed such love and kindness. As Willow the Labrador has become older she hasn’t shed her undercoat properly and her hair became thick and trapped dirt and was smelling. I am so glad I took her to Dog Love for the deshedding service, the difference is incredible. Her coat has substantially thinned out and is soft and healthy. Willow looks so much more comfortable. I will definitely be returning and would recommend to Labrador owners to have this service, I only wish I knew about it sooner, it is magic! Willow is one happy dog! Thank you xx
