A calm, home based daycare in Tranmere for dogs up to 20 kg. Small groups, a big secure backyard, real rest time, and photo and video updates through the day. Run by Naja and Hannah, with Gabi supervising the dogs day to day.
Monday to Friday. Drop off from 7:00am, pick up by 6:15pm. 11 Athol Avenue, Tranmere, with parking out the front.
Why we keep it small
Daycare built around small and medium dogs
We keep our daycare just for dogs under 20 kg, which helps create a calmer, more balanced environment for everyone. With smaller play groups, plenty of rest, and gentle introductions, nervous dogs and dogs new to daycare can settle in at their own pace.
- Size matched groups. Keeping everyone under 20 kg helps play stay more balanced, comfortable and manageable for the dogs.
- Maximum 15 dogs a day. We keep numbers intentionally small so every dog can be properly supervised and get plenty of individual attention.
- A real backyard, not a warehouse. Dogs spend their day in a relaxed home environment with grass, shade, fresh air and space to explore.
- Fresh water all day. Water bowls are checked, refreshed and changed frequently throughout the day.
- Hygiene is taken seriously. Our daycare and outdoor areas are cleaned throughout the day to keep the space fresh and comfortable.
- Monthly professional garden treatment. Our outdoor areas are professionally inspected every month for fleas, insects and other pests, and treated when needed.
- Poop is picked up straight away. The garden is watched closely throughout the day so waste is removed as soon as we spot it and the play area stays clean.
Who it suits
Dogs up to 20 kg who enjoy company, need more movement than a lounge room offers, or spend long days alone. Puppies are welcome from 16 weeks once vaccinations are complete.
A note on larger dogs
Our daycare is a home on a quiet residential street, so we welcome small and medium dogs only. Every size is always welcome in our grooming salon.

For their first daycare visit, we usually recommend starting with a half day so your dog can settle in without being overwhelmed. You'll get photos and videos as they go.

What size dogs can come to daycare?
Small and medium dogs up to 20 kg. Our daycare is a home on a quiet residential street, so we keep groups small and sizes matched. Larger dogs are always welcome in our grooming salon.
How much does dog daycare cost at Dog Love?
A half day is $35 and a full day is $55. Bring two or more dogs from the same home and take $10 off per day. Regulars can buy a 10 day bundle and save $50. Add a wash at pick up and save $5.
How do the 10 day bundles work?
A bundle is 10 daycare days paid up front, at $500 for 10 full days or $300 for 10 half days. That is $50 off either way. Use your days across any weekday, at your own pace.
How many dogs do you take each day?
A maximum of 15. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday are our busiest days, so book ahead. Monday and Thursday are quieter and ideal for a first visit.
Does my dog need an assessment before their first day?
Yes. Every new dog starts with a daycare assessment, which you book online like any other visit. We meet your dog, see how they settle with our team and the other dogs, and make sure daycare is the right fit. If you would like to see the space before that, message us and we will organise a time for you to pop in.
What does my dog need to attend?
Current vaccinations, an ID tag, and a friendly temperament with other dogs and people. Puppies are welcome from 16 weeks once their vaccinations are complete.
Will I get updates during the day?
Yes. Daycare families join our WhatsApp group for photos and videos through the day, and we post highlights to our Instagram stories.
Where are you and what are your hours?
11 Athol Avenue, Tranmere SA 5073, with parking out the front. Daycare runs Monday to Friday, drop off from 7:00am and pick up by 6:15pm. We are minutes from Magill, Burnside, Norwood, Kensington, Campbelltown and Rostrevor.
What if my dog is nervous or new to daycare?
That is exactly what the assessment is for. We suggest starting with a half day on a quieter day so your dog settles in with a smaller group, and we will always call you if your dog is not settling rather than push through.
