Straight off the bottle
A small section at a time.
It works on a wet coat or a dry one. Two ways to use it: straight onto a knot, or misted over the coat for everyday brushing.

Shake, then spray
For a knot, spray directly onto the spot. For everyday brushing, mist evenly over the coat from about 10cm away.

Wait 30 seconds
Give it time to soften and condition the area before you touch it with a brush.

Brush gently
In the direction the coat grows, small sections, holding the hair above so you are not pulling on skin.

Comb to check
Follow with a metal comb. If it catches, that section needs more gentle work. Repeat on stubborn areas as needed.

Is it right for your dog?
Built for coats that trap loose hair and knot wherever there is friction. That is fleece and curly. It is not a do everything spray.
Oodles, read this one. A breed name does not tell you the coat texture. Most Cavoodles, Groodles, Labradoodles and Spoodles have a wavy fleece or curly coat and this spray is made for them, but some Oodles carry a straight coat instead. Go by the coat you can see. If you are not sure, send the Dog Love grooming team a photo before you order and we will tell you.
Why we made it
We used more than 20 detangling sprays before we made our own.
Some had great slip but felt heavy. Some smelled lovely but did little for the brush. Some worked in one spot and fell short in another.
So we built our own and judged every version at the grooming table: how the brush moved through the coat, how the hair felt once dry, whether anything built up and how much we actually needed. Two years and dozens of rounds later, this is the bottle we reach for in our own salon. That is why it carries our name.

Every ingredient had to earn its place.
The ingredients that loosen knots
Amodimethicone
A conditioning silicone that coats each hair in a fine, smooth layer, so hairs slide past each other instead of catching. It is drawn most to rough, weathered hair.
Two conditioning agents
Behentrimonium methosulfate and dipalmitoylethyl dimonium chloride. Both carry a positive charge, so they cling to the coat, smooth each hair and calm static, which is what lets the brush glide.
We used the spray on every dog in our salon while we refined it, including dogs with sensitive skin.

Hyaluronic acid
Chosen to help the coat hold moisture and feel softer.
Panthenol
Provitamin B5, to condition the coat between grooms.
Aloe vera
Part of the conditioning blend for a soft finish.
Light fragrance
A gentle scent, not a heavy perfume.

Wet coat or dry coat?
Either. The bottle directions cover both. Shake well, then spray straight onto a knot, or mist evenly over the coat from about 10cm away for everyday brushing.
Do I rinse it out?
No. It is a leave in spray. Shake, mist, wait, brush, comb, done. There is no rinsing step.
How much should I use?
Start with a little. On a knot, a light spray on the spot itself. Over the coat, an even mist from about 10cm. A soaked coat feels heavy and takes longer to dry.
What does it smell like?
A light fragrance, not a heavy perfume. It settles as the coat dries rather than sitting on the dog all day.
Can it remove mats?
It helps loosen everyday tangles and small knots, and you can spray a knot directly. A dense mat sitting tight against the skin is a groomer's job. Do not keep pulling at it, and never cut it out with scissors.
Is it suitable for dogs with sensitive skin?
We used it on every dog in our salon while we refined it, including dogs with sensitive skin. Dogs react differently, so try a small area first. Avoid irritated skin, and stop if you see redness or irritation.
Is it for every Cavoodle or Groodle?
Go by coat texture rather than breed. It was developed for wavy fleece and curly coats, and some Oodles carry a straighter coat. Send us a photo if you are not sure.
What brush and comb should I use?
A slicker brush with light pressure, then a metal comb to check each section. The comb is what tells you whether you have reached the skin.
How is it different from other detangling sprays?
The detangling comes from amodimethicone working with two conditioning agents, balanced over two years on the dogs we groom every week. It is built for fleece and curly coats instead of trying to suit every coat at once.
Does it contain silicone?
Yes. Amodimethicone is a conditioning silicone and it is one of the reasons the brush glides.

Changed your mind, or the size is wrong? Send it back within 30 days of delivery, unused and in its packaging, and we will refund or exchange it. Our refund policy has the full detail, including what we cannot take back.
