Description
Andis • UltraEDGE Blade

Size 7FC — Matted Coat Reset Blade (≈ 3.2mm)

Our go-to blade for matted dogs. 7FC gives a safe, practical reset trim — short, tidy, and easy to maintain.

What it leaves

  • Approx. 3.2mm (1/8") coat length
  • Short, even finish designed for coat resets
  • Low-maintenance trim that grows out cleanly

Best for

  • Moderate matting that needs a safe reset
  • Practical trims for oodles and thick coats
  • Owners wanting a neat finish with easier upkeep

Dog Love Boutique grooming standard

We do not brush out tight matting close to the skin. For most matted coats, 7FC is our primary blade choice because clipping is safer and more humane.

We only step down to a 10 blade when matting is severe or pelted directly to the skin.

Technical

  • Carbon-infused steel for longevity
  • Rust-resistant chrome finish
  • Universal A5 snap-on style fit

Should I demat before clipping?
