A matched leather collar and lead, woven by hand from full-grain leather. The everyday set that softens with wear and, with a little care, lasts for years.

What's In The Set
Two pieces. One craftsman.
Full-grain leather strips woven by hand into a structured braid. Solid metal hardware, hand-stitched at the buckle. Available in four sizes from small breed to large.
Long-form lead in matching braided leather. Soft-grip handle, heavy-duty trigger clip. Long enough for relaxed walks and recall practice on a long line.
The Craft
Made the slow way. Built to last for years.
Full-grain leather — the strongest, most durable cut, the layer that softens beautifully with age. Cheaper "split" or "bonded" leather flakes; this does not.
Each strip is woven by hand. The pattern is structural — the braid is what gives the collar its strength and shape. Not a decorative finish stitched on top.
Solid metal buckle and D-ring. Hand-stitched anchor points where the leather meets metal. No plastic, no rivets that can pop loose.
Like a good leather wallet, this collar gets better with age. Expect it to soften, deepen in colour, and develop a patina unique to your dog.

Care
Look after it. It will look after your dog.
A soft damp cloth removes dust and surface dirt.
A small amount of leather conditioner keeps the leather supple and prevents cracking.
Air dry away from direct heat. Avoid hairdryers, radiators, or hot car interiors.
Remove before beach swims and pool sessions. Leather can dry stiff if soaked repeatedly in salt or chlorinated water.

What if my size is sold out?
Write to us with your dog's neck measurement and preferred colourway, and we'll commission a set for you. Hand-braided leather takes time — expect about a week. The price is the same as the in-stock set.
Why only one set per size?
Each set is hand-braided. We hold a single set per size in each colourway so the work stays careful, not rushed. Anything beyond that is made to order.
Is this real leather?
Yes — full-grain genuine leather, hand-braided. Not bonded leather, not faux leather, not synthetic.
Why is it pricier than other collars and leads?
Hand-braided full-grain leather takes hours per piece. Most collars are machine-cut nylon webbing, sewn in seconds. This is the difference between a fast-fashion piece and a leather wallet you keep for ten years.
How do I size it?
Measure your dog's neck where the collar will sit. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and the neck. Match to the size chart. If between sizes, choose up — leather softens to fit.
Will the leather get wet on rainy walks?
Light rain is fine — wipe it down when you get home and let it air-dry naturally. Avoid full submersion in the ocean, lake, or pool. For dogs who swim daily, this isn't the right collar.
How long will it last?
With light care — twice-yearly conditioning, natural drying after rain — full-grain leather sets like this last years. Many dogs wear the same leather collar their whole adult life.
Is it suitable for puppies?
Better suited to adult dogs. Puppies grow fast, chew everything, and don't yet appreciate a leather heirloom. Start with a basic adjustable nylon collar through puppyhood, then move to leather once they've reached their adult size.
Can I buy just the collar or just the lead?
The Heritage Set is sold as a matched pair. Selling them together keeps the colourway tones consistent and the savings in your pocket — buying separately would cost meaningfully more.

Returns
Changed your mind, or the size is wrong? Send it back within 30 days of delivery, unused and in its packaging, and we will refund or exchange it. Our refund policy has the full detail, including what we cannot take back.
To start one, email or text us. Returns go to the front of our queue and we answer them the same business day wherever we can.
