At Dog Love, we see the effects of poorly fitting harnesses every week: coat rubbing, awkward buckles and dogs trying to back out of their gear.
The DogLove Pro is a Truelove harness we chose after testing six brands in our Tranmere salon, and we used it on our own dogs for two years before we stocked it. It clips on without going over the head, gives you a front and a back clip, and adjusts at four points for a closer fit.
Front and back clips
The front ring can help redirect forward pulling while you work on loose lead walking. The back ring is there for relaxed walks, and the top handle gives you close control at kerbs and doors.
Coat conscious fit
Soft padded mesh sits where the straps press, and four adjustment points let it sit flat instead of twisting and rubbing. On for walks, off at home, and a quick comb behind the front legs afterwards helps keep friction mats in check.

Does it go over my dog’s head?
No. The neck and belly buckles open so you can lay the harness on and clip it in place. Nothing goes over the ears or eyes.
Will it stop my dog pulling?
The front clip can help redirect forward pulling and give you more control. It works best alongside calm, consistent loose lead training. Our guide on how to stop a dog pulling on the lead walks you through it.
How do I know which size to buy?
Measure the chest girth just behind the front legs and use the finder above. If your dog is between two sizes, or has a thick coat, go up one. Our fit guide has more detail.
What if the size is wrong?
Return it or swap the size within 30 days. Drop it back to our Tranmere salon or post it back to us. See our refund policy for the details.
Can I use it in the car?
The top handle is useful for close control at the car door.
How do I wash it?
Wash bag, cold gentle cycle, air dry. It keeps the lining soft and the hardware in good shape.
